I like working with people who want to know themselves better and are open to looking at their lives in a way they may not have done before.
Most people seek psychological help because they want relief from pain and to feel more satisfied in their relationships, work, and with themselves. There are many routes to feeling better (all of which can be useful), but understanding the underlying causes for emotional distress—often rooted in patterns that were once adaptive but no longer work well—and doing something about it leads to the most enduring and fulfilling change. Taking (prudent) risks is often essential to feeling better. When you can do things you haven’t done before, you expand yourself and your world.
I’ve worked as a psychotherapist since 1986. I treat a wide variety of problems and I see people ages 16 and up. My fee is $375/session, which I adjust when appropriate. I provide invoices for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. I work remotely and in person.
